Jason Cherella is a prolific lead editor in both scripted and unscripted television. He received Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Picture Editing in 2007, 2008 & 2016.
Cherella began his career at MTV Networks, where he edited culturally defining hit series such as 'Viva La Bam', 'Run's House' and 'Jersey Shore'. He quickly transitioned into broadcast television with series like 'The Voice', 'The Bachelor', 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition', 'Hell's Kitchen', 'The Biggest Loser' and 'America's Got Talent'.
As a scripted editor, Cherella has worked with some of the biggest directors in entertainment; John Singleton (Boys N' the Hood), Bilall Fallah & Adil El Arbi (Bad Boys), Dan Attias (The Wire) and Thomas Schlamme (West Wing). His most notable work includes all six seasons of ‘Snowfall' (FX), 'Mayor of Kingstown' (Paramount+), 'Riverdale' (CW) and 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' (Netflix), as well as the pilot episode ‘The Company. You Keep’ (ABC). Cherella’s most recent work includes 101 Studios' Y: Marshals and the Snowfall Spinoff Pilot for FX .
Originally from Onset, Massachusetts, Cherella received his degree from Colby College. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife & two kids.
